Kai-USA, manufacturer of Kershaw Knives and Zero Tolerance Knives in Tualatin, is looking for a EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) / Inside Sales Assistant.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the EDI Administrator in the daily operation of EDI documents. We are seeking the right individual to help with the maintenance of inbound purchase documents and business processes relating to customer EDI orders. This individual will participate in the sales process from customer purchase order to shipment. To be successful in this position, candidate will need to have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Position will provide assistance as directed by the EDI Administrator and/or IS Manager.
• Responsibilities include working with multiple departments including Sales Customer Service, Logistics, Accounting and KAI USA customers.
• Candidate will assist in verifying customer EDI orders for accuracy, confirming against existing information within the EDI/DMEDI and Microsoft D365 ERP system.
• Team member will help maintain EDI documents, as well as assisting in manually key EDI documents into 3rd Party websites.
• Assist in identifying and solving issues (research, resolve and respond) of stuck or failed EDI documents.
• Will be responsible for processing non-automated end of day EDI files.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• All other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requirements:

The qualified employee will have 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Prior experience within a business software system (Microsoft D365 experience preferred)
• Experience using a ERP system in a Sales Order Entry capacity and/or Logistics is a plus
• Demonstrated history of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve or critical thinking
• Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
• Applicable technical certifications preferred
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Advanced analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision
• Advanced communication skills regarding project teams and management
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
